A "REAL" way of doing things

Do ever feel like you are hiding behind a mask - at home, work, school - maybe even at church? We here at CrossPointe Church are tired of that! That is why we have started a different kind of church - a church where people can be real, while living in the midst of the challenges & adventures of the real world, & who, together, search to find the answers to the mask-inducing issues of life through a relationship with a real God. At Crosspointe Church, we want to be REAL PEOPLE who have real:

Relationships - Our top priority is our relationship with God through faith in Jesus Christ and flowing out of that is our relationship with the people in the world around us.

Enthusiasm - We are joyfully excited by what God is doing in, through and amongst us; and we express that through our worship and service to Him.

Allegiance - We want to be totally committed to God in all we do, and so we are committed to holding one another accountable for being real with each other and with God - even when it gets hard. We are also willing to take the necessary risks to see and join God at work no matter what He calls us to do.

Liberty - We celebrate and claim the freedom of God's Grace acknowledging we are more sinful then we can imagine, yet more forgiven then we could ever hope! Because of that, we have the absolute freedom to live as sons and daughters of God who truly glorify and enjoy Him forever. We reject the entrapments of legalism and rigid traditionalism, and embrace the awesome freedom that is found in Jesus Christ.

Prayerful - We desire to be continually and humbly dependent upon God in all that we do. Therefore, we believe that in everything prayerful consideration and implementation is an absolute necessity if we are to succeed.

Equipped - In order to help one another and our community, we desire to be properly equipped. The priority for our leadership is perparing people to help others. Using God's Word as our training manual, we learn and grow in our understanding, knowledge and skills in order to help and serve others in tangible ways.

Obedient - The Bible shows us how God wants us to live our lives. We take seriously and are committed to the authority of God's Word and leadership of Jesus Christ in every area of our lives. That is the true essence of being real.

Power-driven - We can do nothing for God in our own strength - that is why we are dependent upon His Power at work within us. Empowered by His Spirit, we desire to do those things which are so far beyond our own abilities that if God be not in it, it is doomed to failure.

Life-focused - "Doing life together" is important to us. So often we end up "doing life alone" and we are convinced that is not the way God intends life to be. We are committed to each other as together we seek to deal with real-life issues in the context of real-life relationships.

Enthralled - We want to be people so passionately in love with our God that it permeates all of our thinking and living. It is this passion that drives us, spurs us on and holds us fast to our calling to be His Glory-reflecting People as we reach out beyond ourselves to share the awesome grace, hope love and joy found in Jesus Christ.

There are many different opportunities to get involved at CrossPointe, ranging from joining us for worship on Sunday mornings at 10:00 a.m., to getting involved in a Pointe Group. Pointe Groups are a great place for belonging, growing freindships, learning about God's perspective on life, and simply doing life together with other people in the same life-situations as yourself.
